IMATS 2016 Demo Tooth Fairy .

Updated: Apr 29, 2018

Its the time of the year again where IMATS London is approaching and all makeup artists and makeup enthusiasts join together to love all things makeup.

This year will be my 3rd year at IMATS and Im still as excited as ever. Not only for IMATS but to see the uni girls and catch up with them , this is one of the only times of the year that we are able to get together.

Thinking of IMATS made me think back on the first year I ever went and the fact I was able to demonstrate one of my prosthetic makeup looks from university.

The Worker Tooth Fairy.

I was picked to demo for my university stand with a few fellow university girls from the year. It was one of the most terrifying and amazing experiences i have had so far in my short makeup career. Demoing in the same room as some amazing makeup artists at the top of their game was daunting especially having Neil Gorton in the stand opposite. It felt like i knew nothing compared to them but i was given one of the best opportunities.

It may not have been the best makeup ever created in that room but it was mine and i was proud to have done it. Looking back on to it there is many things i would change with facial structure, colouring and also the wig which i created fully out of front lace. But where i had just finished university to have created a fully foam latex piece without many issues i was happy.

My makeup made it onto the IMATS website that year which was a triumph within itself, and something any makeup artist demoing at IMATS hopes for.

A massive thank you to my model Elly Salter for dealing with all that makeup.
